A marketplace for small businesses — not algorithms.

Intention Boutique is a curated online marketplace built to make it easier to shop small, discover something unexpected, and find the people behind the things you bring into your life.

But if we’re being truthful, the idea behind it has always been about more than shopping.

We started Intention Boutique because we believe the things we choose to surround ourselves with matter. Sometimes that’s because of who made them or where they came from. Sometimes it’s because they were created with care, carry a story, support something we believe in, or simply make a space feel more like ours.

And sometimes it’s harder to explain than that.

Maybe it’s the crystal you keep picking up every time you walk past it, the piece of jewelry that somehow feels like you, the candle you light when the house needs a reset, or the strange little object you absolutely did not need but knew immediately was coming home with you.

We believe in that kind of connection. We believe objects can hold meaning, energy, memory, intention — and yes, sometimes a little magic.

That belief is part of Intention Boutique, but it doesn’t mean everything here looks the same or fits neatly into a metaphysical box. Our marketplace brings together artists, makers, small businesses, and thoughtful curators selling original art, bold jewelry, crystals, ritual tools, non-toxic goods, vintage finds, unusual clothing, things for your home, gifts, and plenty of other things that are simply hard to find anywhere else.

What connects all of it is the idea that there should be more intention behind what we buy and more room online for the people doing things differently.

At Intention Boutique, we believe the things we bring into our lives can carry meaning, energy, and purpose. What we choose affects our homes, our spaces, and sometimes the way we feel in them. And when we choose thoughtfully, that decision reaches beyond us — to the person who made, found, sourced, or dreamed up the thing in the first place. That kind of ripple matters to us.

We also know “intentional” doesn’t mean the same thing to everyone, and we don’t think it should.

For one person, it might mean choosing handmade whenever possible. For someone else, it might mean shopping non-toxic, supporting a woman-owned or LGBTQIA-owned business, buying something made in the USA, looking for sustainable materials, or simply putting their money into a small business instead of another giant corporation.

That’s why we created our labels. They’re there to give you more of the story behind what you’re buying, not to tell you which story should matter most to you.

And sometimes, intentional shopping can be a lot less serious than all of that. Sometimes you buy the giant sparkly earrings because they’re fabulous and they make you happy.

We fully support this.

There is intention in joy, too.

That’s really what we want Intention Boutique to feel like: a place with room for values and personality, beautiful things and weird things, practical things and magical things, and the small businesses and real people behind all of them.
