Behind the Product

When I initially chose this piece of solar quartz, I knew that I wanted to make it into a necklace, but did not know how. I played around with different types of bezels but none seemed to allow for the beauty of the stone to be as visible as I wanted. In the end, I chose a small leaf-shaped half bezel. The bezel allows for the stone to be viewed both front and back, but also does not distract from the playful coloration and beauty of the crystal itself. I selected the olive green leather cord to further enhance the green banding in the center of the stone.

Details

As with any metal, it is recommended that this necklace be removed before contact with water to reduce the risk of tarnishing. Contact with chemicals such as sunscreen and lotion should also be limited.







    When creating a necklace, I often choose cabochons that I am drawn to. My logic is that if it is calling to me to create something beautiful, it will call to its wearer with the best of intentions.

    This necklace is made with a cabochon of solar quartz. The stone is often referred to as the most powerful healing and amplifying stone. This beautiful pendant is no exception. It gives off strong vibrations and positive energy. For me, the stone has a very calming effect. I can honestly say that I spent a lot of time deliberating on how to mount and enhance the beautiful green banding in the center of the stone.

    The pendant hangs on a silver leaf half-bezel. It is strung on an 18” adjustable, olive green-colored cord. This necklace is one-of-a-kind! There are no two pieces of solar quartz (or any crystal for that matter) that are alike! If this piece is calling to you, I encourage you to welcome it into your journey.
