Behind the Product

This hood is crocheted by myself. I put my heart into each hood, striving to give you the best possible product that will make you giggle with glee for years to come.

The hood is crocheted using Puzzles yarn, working in Granny Cluster stitches for a light and airy design and pattern. It is worked in rounds initially, so the colors have a unique spiral design on the hood back. The front is worked in back and forth rows, changing the color pattern and making it even better.

The trim is worked using the faux fur yarn and is crocheted with a large hood for a supple, soft and delightful border along the neck and face.

Ears are made using Puzzles yarn and a small hook. This makes a dense and slightly stiff ear that will maintain its shape and be "perky". The fur is crocheted with the same small hook on two sides of the ear. The ear is then positioned and hand sewn in place on the hood top.

Braids are formed using both Puzzles and fur yarns. The strands are woven through the front point of the hood and then braded into long, fluffy tassels.

This oversized hood is designed to be worn over the head and shoulders. It is a fun and adorable head covering.

Gently place the hood over the head with the edges resting on your shoulders and nape of neck. The braided tassels will hang in front, down the chest. Adjust the ears to a comfortable position on your head and shape them as you want them.

Enjoy the day--or night--as you strut will style!


The hood is crocheted using a large hood in Granny Square Cluster pattern. This creates a supple and soft hood that has beautiful drape and charm.

The ears are crocheted separately with a smaller hook and the acrylic yarn. The black faux fur trim is crocheted along the edges of the ears. The ears are then sewn on by hand to the top portion of the hood.

Premier brand "Puzzles" acrylic bulky weight yarn.

This is a loosely woven fiber that offers extreme comfort and softness against the skin. The yarn is made by taking two fibers of light worsted weight strands of varied colors and twine them together, to create a unique and distinct variegated yarn. No two skeins will ever be identical, which means no two hoods will ever be identical. You are getting a true One-of-a-Kind hood.

The faux fur trim is Hobby Lobby brand polyester fur that is made to be similar to a very thick yarn. I crochet the fur along the hood to add that fantastic "pop" of color and super softness against your neck and face.


Hand wash in warm water, using a mild detergent. 

Rinse well in cool water.

Lay flat on a towel to air dry.

Do not twist, wring, bleach and avoid high heat.
